Cultural Highlights at the VASS Exhibition Booth
The exhibition “80 Years on the Journey to Independence – Freedom – Happiness” recently attracted a large number of visitors in Hanoi. A notable highlight was the visit of Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, whose presence brought special attention to the event. He expressed deep appreciation while visiting the booth of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS).

At the booth, the Ambassador personally experienced traditional cultural activities such as creating Đông Hồ folk paintings and practicing calligraphy. He also spent time learning about VASS’s contributions to historical research and social policy studies. According to the Ambassador, these research works play a pivotal role in Vietnam’s societal development.

Promoting Research Cooperation and Digital Transformation
In addition to the visit, Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes affirmed Cuba’s goodwill in promoting bilateral cooperation projects. Specifically, Cuba expressed interest in leveraging and expanding the scientific research outcomes of VASS across multiple disciplines.

In response, Associate Professor Tạ Minh Tuấn, PhD, Vice President of VASS, emphasized that international cooperation is a top priority. At the same time, digital transformation has been identified as a strategic pillar for the Academy over the next five years. Intelligent management systems and digital data repositories are expected to be connected internationally, enabling Vietnam’s research capacity to gradually reach global standards.
